Hawaii dodged the proverbial bullet again. According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Ewa Beach, Oahu, a 6.6 magnitude earthquake that rumbled through the Fiji Islands at 05:39 hrs, UTC, on Saturday, 28 May 2016, did not generate a Pacific-wide tsunami. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 420 KM/261 miles and was centered approximately 572 KM/355.4 miles southeast of Suva, Fiji.
